It has been a privilege
to raise a family and run a business in one of the most beautiful places on Earth: Palmer, Alaska. It has also been my distinct honor to serve in the House of Representatives for the last six years and as Mayor from 2010 to 2016 to the town I'm so proud to call home. During my tenure I have been dedicated to running government in a way that is based not on abstract theory but on my own experience. I have been a staunch fiscal conservative and dedicated to the idea that government should let citizens be in charge of their own destinies.
I want to continue keeping that same Alaskan individual spirit in Juneau. Government continues struggling to finding a way to balance needs and wants. The legislature continues to spend at unsustainable levels; we must stand firm against deficit spending.
